June is the beginning of summer. And in summer it is synonymous with sunshine, warmth, beach outings and also aperitifs on the banks of the Garonne, on the terrace of cafés or in a Bordeaux park. Whether served with a glass of red, white or rosé wine, a cold beer or even a tasty cocktail, nothing is more enjoyable than enjoying long, mild summer evenings with friends or family.

And the city of Bordeaux knows it, the people of Bordeaux are fans of it!
That is why it has decided to organize many activities to celebrate this long-awaited return and bring the city centre to life to the rhythm of the sun.

As the capital of one of the most renowned wine-growing and oenological regions in France and the world, Bordeaux has, of course, honoured its wines on various occasions.

This year again, the city has seen the famous and uplifting Epicuriales of Bordeaux emerge for a 25th edition. This meeting, so long awaited by the people of Bordeaux, is an opportunity to get together, sometimes around a meal, but often around a tasty glass of wine. And even if a few chardonnays and other grenaches sneak into the aisles, it is the Bordeaux wines that are unanimously appreciated!

As the capital of one of the most renowned wine-growing and oenological regions in France and the world, Bordeaux has, of course, honoured its wines on various occasions.

And to complete this long gastronomic and oenological week, the city of Bordeaux has seen the biennial Bordeaux Fête le Fleuve, this year organised around the theme “The boats of freedom”. For the occasion, many boats from all over the world came to moor along the quays of the Port de la Lune. Sailboats, 3 masts, yachts, small and large, there were more than 600 of them from Bègles to Bassens.
At the same time, passers-by could enjoy this beautiful view from the many “Bordeaux Fête ses Vins Blancs” stands on the quays of Bordeaux throughout the event. Refreshing dry white wines, sweet fruity or sweet gourmet wines, all were on hand and delighted the many participants with more than 60,000 wine tastings recorded by the CIVB in the first three days alone.

Admire beautiful boats under the summer sun or in the sweetness of a summer evening, with a glass of white wine in hand, what more could you ask for?

As you will have understood, June in Bordeaux is THE oenological meeting of the year!
For those who missed the boat, this great program comes back next year and this time with the famous Bordeaux Fête le Vin, for even more oenological discoveries and fun!
