Bordeaux is the world’s leading wine destination. But wine tourism doesn’t mean much unless you know what you’re really looking for: a guided winery tour? A tasting between two appointments? Or an experience designed around who you are and what you enjoy?<\/p>\n

I’m a winemaker at Ch\u00e2teau Vieux Mougnac and a private sommelier in Bordeaux. Here’s how I see wine tourism, and how I invite you to experience it differently.<\/p>\n

What is wine tourism in Bordeaux, really?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wine tourism encompasses all the activities that allow you to discover wine through the place where it is made – through the vineyards, the cellars, the men and women behind the wine, and even the landscapes that shape it. In Bordeaux, this is particularly rich: more than 60 appellations, terroirs that differ radically from one bank to the other, and a wine culture deeply rooted in every village.<\/p>\n

But traditional wine tourism – the standard winery tour followed by a visit to the shop – doesn’t really capture all of this. What I offer is different: experiences built around you, your group and your occasion.<\/p>\n

Wine tourism experiences by L.O Wine<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Cr\u00e9aWine\u00ae blending workshop. <\/strong>Each participant creates their own wine by blending Bordeaux grape varieties – Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Awarded at the Concours L\u00e9pine, this unique workshop offers an opportunity to understand Bordeaux wine from the inside.<\/p>\n

Private wine tasting at home. <\/strong>I come to you – whether you’re staying in a rental property, apartment or house – with the wines, glasses and everything needed to create a memorable experience. Left Bank or Right Bank, an introduction to wine or a themed exploration: everything is tailored to your group.<\/p>\n

Wine tasting at the estate. <\/strong>At Ch\u00e2teau Vieux Mougnac, surrounded by vineyards in an authentic setting far from the usual tourist routes. A chance to experience wine in the very place where it is made, alongside the winemaker who produces it.<\/p>\n

Painting with wine. <\/strong>An artistic and sensory experience where you paint with red wine, explore its natural pigments and leave with your own artwork. Original, convivial and perfect for groups looking for something off the beaten track.<\/p>\n

Caviar, Grands Crus Class\u00e9s & Champagne. <\/strong>The Gironde estuary is both home to prestigious Grands Crus Class\u00e9s vineyards and the natural environment where sturgeon are raised to produce Aquitaine IGP caviar. A gastronomic workshop that tells the story of the region as a whole, sometimes from aboard a boat on the estuary.<\/p>\n

Wine reveals the cocktail. <\/strong>At the crossroads of wine tasting and mixology, this workshop offers a creative and unexpected way to discover wine, using professional techniques adapted to all experience levels.<\/p>\n
